The St. John's Bach Project

St. John’s Music Ministries is thrilled to present the return of The St. John’s Bach Project, a special event featuring two of J.S. Bach’s masterful cantatas. The performance will include BWV 39, “Brich dem Hungrigen dein Brot” (Give the hungry ones thy bread), and BWV 102, “Herr, deine Augen sehen nach dem Glauben” (Lord God, your eyes are seeing truth in trusting). These works will be brought to life by an exceptional lineup of soloists: Ingela Onstad (soprano), Stephanie Reyes (mezzo-soprano), Lore Alán (tenor), and Michael Hix (baritone), accompanied by a chorus and chamber orchestra under the direction of conductor Matthew Greer.

Join us for this evening of music on Thursday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church. For those unable to attend in person, the performance will also be available via livestream. There is no admission charge; however, a free will offering will be received. The St. John's Bach Project is a series of concert and worship experiences that feature the vocal and instrumental works of J.S. Bach.
