She served in 2016-2017 as a Music Ministry Intern. She is a graduate student in Vocal Performance at the University of New Mexico, and earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Music Education from The Hartt School of Music. Shea teaches voice and piano at The New Mexico School of Music. She has traveled to both Italy and Germany for choir tours and operatic institutions, including Lyric Opera Studio Weimar. Her operatic roles include: “Cupid” in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, “Dritte Dame” in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, “Third Spirit” in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, “Emma Jones” in Kurt Weill’s Street Scene, and Opera Chorus in both Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors and Johann Strauss’ Die Fledermaus. At the University of New Mexico, Shea participates in Chamber Choir, as well as the Opera Studio. Shea’s favorite parts of the week are when she gets to sing or teach at St. John’s United Methodist Church!
